Regus addresses range from the banking district to office parks on the edge of the city, so what the address says about your company depends on the centre you choose. Regus gives buyers a wide selection of Frankfurt workspaces and meeting locations. Regus, Spaces and HQ are brands of one company, IWG, and share the same rules: its standard German virtual office plans are not suitable for a Handelsregister entry, and the registration route requires a private office priced individually.

Which registration checks matter in Frankfurt?

The national legal test is the same for every Frankfurt address: the company needs a domestic business address where it can be reached and official documents can be served. Frankfurt addresses inside the city use the Amtsgericht Frankfurt am Main for the Handelsregister: its register court is at Heiligkreuzgasse 34 and takes filings through the notary and the joint register portal of the German states (official court page). Choosing the Westend rather than the banking district does not change that court.

The Gewerbeanmeldung goes to one office for the whole city: the Gewerberegister of the Ordnungsamt at Kleyerstraße 86, which accepts online filing through the Hessen service portal (official service page).

Check the municipality on the full address. Eschborn, Offenbach, Dreieich and Neu-Isenburg are not Frankfurt am Main, and Frankfurt (Oder) is a different city in Brandenburg. An address outside Frankfurt can mean a different register court and municipality.

A Frankfurt business address does not by itself decide the competent Finanzamt, place of management, permanent establishment or Gewerbesteuer municipality. Those depend on where and how the company is actually run.
