- Hamburg-Altstadt is the city’s historic commercial and civic centre. The Alter Wall address sits in a restored sandstone ensemble between the Rathaus and the Alsterfleet, opposite the Neuer Wall shopping street and a few minutes from Jungfernstieg. It is the strongest traditional Hanseatic signal Olea offers here, and it suits professional services, finance and consultancies whose clients read an address.
- Neustadt is the old town’s western neighbour, and it covers two quite different settings. Ludwig-Erhard-Straße sits by the Michel, close to the Großneumarkt, the harbour edge and Stadthausbrücke station – central and well connected, without the prestige premium. Colonnaden is an elegant pedestrian street nearer Jungfernstieg, the Binnenalster and the Staatsoper, with a more traditional central-Hamburg feel.

Hamburg is a city-state, so the Amtsgericht Hamburg keeps the Handelsregister for the whole city, and we provide the consent-to-use documentation your notary needs. The notary remains responsible for certifying and filing the registration.
Which address goes on a Hamburg Gewerbeanmeldung?
A Gewerbeanmeldung records your Betriebsstätte – the address where the business is actually carried on (§ 14 GewO) – so give the address that reflects how your business operates. For a Betriebsstätte in Hamburg, the filing goes to the Bezirksamt of the Bezirk it sits in, one of seven; there is no central Gewerbeamt. Your Olea address is a serviceable business address for your Handelsregister entry and Impressum.
Can I use it with the Finanzamt and in my Impressum?
Yes. You can use the address as your Geschäftsanschrift for Finanzamt registration and correspondence and as the serviceable address in a commercial website’s Impressum under § 5 DDG.
